To make the text motion track the action in the clip that we filmed, we used Adobe After Effects. The first step was to import the chosen clip into the programme and then insert a new layer, called "Null object". On the right hand side there is a motion tracking bar which allows you to select the layer which you want to motion track. Using the tracking box we clicked on the part of the clip that we want the text to follow. We played this through to check that it would follow the correct object. Using the text tool we wrote a label. Using the spiral button on the bottom left corner next to "text" we dragged a line from it to the "null object" layer. We forward analysed the clip to check the sequence then saved and exported it.
We need to practice using better colour contrasts so that the tracking is more smooth and doesn't get confused. Our next aim is to develop the text into 3D.
Good examples of how to do motion tracking and decent end results too. You must make sure when you are tracking it following something that shows a continuous motion though to ensure a smooth movement. The feet stop moving and so does the text which can make it look a little awkward at times. An excellent post though - well done!
