Test shots character 1
This character would be used for the main characters deceased child. We would make the character look like an illusion and a memory from the main character so the audience are confused to if the child is real or part of the main characters imagination. This is perfect casting as the child is familiar with the surroundings that we are shooting in.

Motion Tracking
To make the text motion track the action in the clip that we filmed, we used Adobe After Effects. The first step was to import the chosen clip into the programme and then insert a new layer, called "Null object". On the right hand side there is a motion tracking bar which allows you to select the layer which you want to motion track. Using the tracking box we clicked on the part of the clip that we want the text to follow. We played this through to check that it would follow the correct object. Using the text tool we wrote a label. Using the spiral button on the bottom left corner next to "text" we dragged a line from it to the "null object" layer. We forward analysed the clip to check the sequence then saved and exported it.

We need to practice using better colour contrasts so that the tracking is more smooth and doesn't get confused. Our next aim is to develop the text into 3D.

Thriller film research
The four main films that have influenced our plot for the opening of our thriller are:
Shutter Island- We have taken inspiration from this film because the main character is unaware and in denial of his own actions.
The Lovely Bones-we will take from this the fact that the main suspect is being questioned by the police on the abduction of a girl. they create suspense by showing the girls bracelet in his house. This makes the audience aware that he is the villain.
Inception- The use of dreams and mixing reality with dreams makes the audience slightly confused and keeps their attention on the film. We feel that instead of dreams we could use flashbacks in our opening to create the same effect.

- The Dark Knight- This influenced us because the joker is mentally ill, and you can tell this by the way he is portrayed.
